John's most famous painting, The Django Reinhardt Portrait,

Acrylic on canvas
This a dance scene of
The Quintette du Hot Club de France which is generally considered by jazz historians to be the greatest of all
European Jazz bands. Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt can be spotted sitting with the band.
John was particularly intrigued by the tension on the dance floor between the two women.
John Kinnard's interest in musical portraits is continued
here with this excellent black and white portrait of the famous Trumpeteer, Thad Jones, a composition that John found inspiring.
